A. Peanut Hay Round Bales Baled Sept. 2011.  Rolls are 4x5' and these bales shown are approx. 815 lb. Bales.  Also have some 900 lb. bales too.

Semi prices to central Texas at $93-99/bale on this good smelling, looking Peanut Hay that was baled back in Sept. so it has seen some rain outside.  38 Bales to a Semi Truckload usually.

The bales look real good inside and we took these pictures on a load delivered to a Austin area cattle ranch on Nov. 23 so about 3 weeks ago on a overcast rainy day.  One bale we broke open so we could take some pictures showing all the peanuts inside which the cattle love to find.  The color inside is real good as you can see and we really liked the good hay smell to it.

Price is a little less to Houston or East Texas, etc. and little more to west Texas or New Mexico. Oklahoma would be about the same as central Texas or a little less to the eastern side at least.  And bank cashiers check payment on successful delivery so you know the quality is good.

Call for a Semi Truckload quote today (38 bales) to The Tractor Barn at: (512) 573-8359.

*Peanut Hay is Excellent Cattle, Beef or Cow Hay

*12.5-14% Protein

*Not only for cattle and dairy cows as horses "go nuts" over it too, but has some locations will have a small amount of dirt in it.  We are preferring to go to cattle farms unless you are already feeding peanut hay to horses.  We didn't see any dirt or sand at all in the peanut hay from this peanut farm.

*Double or Triple Net Wrapped, unless told different depending on location.

At this link below look at these wt. gains on horses and you can imagine what cattle will do compared to Bermuda, Coastal, Alfalfa and Bahia:  http://www.perennialpeanuthay.org/documents/horsesgonuts.pdf

If you've never fed peanut hay before the first three to several hours the cattle may just go smell it and walk away.  But once they try it they will eat it better than grass hay and given a choice Cattle, Cows and Horses will go right to a Peanut Grass hay roll instead of Bermuda, Coastal or Grass Hay for example.  It's common to hear a pen of calves or cattle will eat a bale twice as quick as a bale of regular grass or coastal hay.  And remember it's about 30-40% more protein than grass or coastal hay.
